Charlie was found on Hayfork Summit during the Monument Fire of 2021 with her brother Ash. After they were found, the Trinity County Animal Shelter was evacuated to Redding due to the fire. While the 2 of them were in Redding, I met Charlie and Ash while donating supplies and put a hold on them. We waited over 30 days to see if anyone would claim them (as a lot of people were evacuated). No one claimed them and they became part of our family. Charlie enjoys walks around the neighborhood, meeting new dog and people friends, playing with her brother Ash, sunbathing, belly rubs and begging for food.
